ROSE LI:
A STUDY IN STYLE

WITH @thecreativeclassicist

Discovering the “why” behind style is a passionate venture for Rose Li. The native Australian spends her time thoughtfully studying the components of style, which she then shares with her hundred-thousand-plus Instagram followers. With a 9 to 5 as an executive in finance, her after-hours are spent capturing her creative vision through stunning ensembles along the streets of New York.

With a lifelong interest in fashion, Rose’s style journey took off when she began to utilize the accessibility of online classes to further explore her personal style.

“One of (my) biggest takeaways from Tibi style classes is the relevance of style as a form of self-expression and to create a visual identity that speaks to your individual attributes. Style has always been connected to confidence for me - if you look good, you feel good and that drives confidence. But I have learned that looking ‘good’ is connected to the subjective of “looking like yourself” and who you want to express yourself to be.”

For Rose, part of looking like herself is dressing for the practical. When building a look, she checks the boxes of weather and occasion first. If those qualifications are met, then the fun begins. Whether something new or a closet staple, she builds the day’s look around the item piquing her interest most.
