You Know You Want to Be Maternity Chic
A Luxury Fashion Guide to 9 Months of Style-Forward Pregnancy Living

When you find out that you’re pregnant, you experience a range of emotions, take on a new perspective for many facets of life and have many, many questions. For many women, a seemingly frivolously, yet important thought that enters the mind is “How will I still look stylish?” or “Do I have to buy all new clothes?” The answer is yes, you can absolutely still look like a stunner and no, you don’t need to swap your entire wardrobe.
For the fashion-forward, pregnancy is a time to let your creative style flourish because a bump and beautifully changing body won’t and can’t stop you. While it may be easier for others to hide out in their husbands sweaters, we here at Dora Maar urge you to rethink drowning in oversized clothing. Why? You likely won’t feel as good as you should. When the time is right (bosses, friends and family have been made aware) pregnancy is a period where you should try to feel your best. And fashion is a catalyst for that. I can attest to this myself as a pregnant lady: the times I dress to the nines and make an effort to put myself together, I truly feel happier and more productive.
To make your life easier, you don’t need to limit yourself to solely buying maternity clothing. Cue the Vogue article, where the author states “you do not need to scout the “maternity” section of your favorite websites to dress that bump.” So, take a hint from pregnant celebrities like Rihanna, Natalie Portman and Blake Lively and let yourself shine.
