Founder of the MG Method, Maxine Goynes believes that design is a powerful force with the capacity to enrich our every day. Within her philosophy, she explores different lifestyle structures and uncovers what makes them so empowering. In doing so, her closet demonstrates how she's curated her own personal style to reflect her own values, aesthetic, and point of view.

What does the word "Muse" mean to you?

Curiosity. It means keeping your head and heart open to explore different feelings, inputs, stimuli. To collaborate in an inviting way: texture, tone, color, principles, and values that are uniquely filtered through YOU to connect to something greater.

What is your approach to dressing festively for holiday gatherings?

For me, any gathering fosters an environment of belonging and intimacy. I feel best when I'm comfortable in my body so I can be present for those around me. I like to wear clothing that is timeless and can transition with me throughout any season of life.

How would you describe your closet in three words?

Elevated, Minimal, Effortless

Whose style is inspiring you most right now?

WOMEN. I really appreciate Taylor Russel; she doesn't miss. Olsen Twins for life. Carrie Mulligan creates 'forever' moments. Digitally, I always appreciate Maja Weyhe. Danielle Goldberg is a dream stylist. Nicole Franco and her vintage line, Select Shop. Actress, Kelsey Asbille is sharp and subtle. I enjoy her grace. (we can cut some of these for length, if necessary, maybe highlight names that more realistically would be a Muse)

If you could have a front row seat for any runway show, what would you pick?

The Row, Loewe, Shiaparelli, Jacquemus, or Peter Do
